Die Mitarbeiter des Tempels versicherten dass die Tiere niemals rohes Fleisch bekommen.

Die Tiere bekommen als Hauptnahrung gekochtes Hühnerfleisch.
Den Tigern werden keine, wie oft in Berichten behauptet, Beruhigungsmittel oder Drogen verabreicht.

Wir konnten uns davon überzeugen dass die Tiger sehr aktiv waren und großen Spaß
am Bewegungstraining hatten.

Wir verlassen das Baiyoke Sky Hotel um 4 Uhr und fahren Richtung Kanchanaburi. Die Fahrzeit beträgt ungefähr 3 Stunden.
Unser Fahrer ist aus dem Hotel.
Um diese Zeit sind die Straßen noch, oder schon wieder leer. Da kann man
sogar in Bangkok noch Autofahren. Sonst eher Auto stehen

Auf der Fahrt Richtung Tigertempel besorgen wir noch einige Gaben für die Mönche.
Das ist so üblich  bei einem Tempelbesuch.
Obst, alkoholfreie Getränke, Keks aber auch Klopapier sind gern angenommene Dotationen.
Schokolade haben wir aus Graz haben wir auch im Gepäck

Pünktlich treffen wir um 07:15 am Parkplatz des Tempels ein.
Aasa und Annika, zwei Schwedinnen,  begrüßen uns.
Es werden uns der Ablauf der Gabenübergabe an die
Mönche sowie Verhaltensregeln im Umgang mit den Tieren erklärt

Zuerst gilt es die Verzichtserklärung zu unterschreiben die den Tempel vor jeglicher Haftung
befreit sollte es zu einem Zwischenfall kommen und wir von den Tigern verletzt oder getötet werden.
n all den Jahren ist es zu keinerlei nennenswerten Zwischenfällen gekommen, darum unterschreiben wir
wir dieses Formular ohne zu zögern. Auf den Straßen Thailands ist es weit gefährlicher.       
Wer schon mal da war kann ein Lied davon singen. Da braucht man wirklich starke Nerven
Führerscheine sind schon eher die Seltenheit.

In der Nähe haben sich bereits einige Mönche versammelt. Wir warten nur mehr auf den Chef des Tempels. Der kommt pünktlich und standesgemäß mit dem Golfwagen.
Die Mönchsgruppe formiert sich, vorne der Chef. Für uns heißt es nun Schuhe ausziehen
Wir vorgeschrieben überreichen wir mit beiden Händen die Gaben.

Der Tempelvorsteher will nachdem ich ihm Obst und Getränke überreicht habe schon weitergehen, hält aber inne,
als er sieht wie ich zu der mitgebrachten Hofer Schokolade greife. Gerne nimmt er diese Gabe auch noch an und aus der ernsten Mine wird ein schelmisches Lächeln.

Der letzte Mönch in der Reihe bekommt alles was übrig ist. In diesem Fall waren es 4 Tafeln Schokolade. Jackpot!!

Wir betreten das Areal durch ein kleines Tor und marschieren auf  einem unbefestigten Weg
durch einen kleinen Wald.  Hier begegnen wir freilaufenden Wildschweinen, Büffel  sowie Rehen.
Auch ein Kamel ist dabei.

Wir ziehen unsere Schuhe aus. Betritt man in Thailand ein Haus oder gar einen Tempel ist das Pflicht.

Nach einigen Stufen erreichen wir die Tempelplattform. In der Mitte der Holzplattform warten die Tigerbabys.
Wir werden mit Milchflaschen ausgestattet und dürfen nun nach Belieben die kleinen Tiger füttern und mit ihnen spielen. 

Diese Tiere sind wie alle Babys verspielt und hungrig. Es ist ein unglaubliches Erlebnis den Tieren so nahe zu sein.
Fotoapparate und Videokamera haben wir zuvor an Mitarbeiter des Tempels übergeben, die unser Treiben festhalten werden so dass wir uns ganz auf die Tiger
konzentrieren können.

Gerade kraule ich  den Bauch eines Tigerbabys als ich einen Stich in
meiner Ferse verspüre. Ein anderer kleiner Tiger hat scheinbar Appetit auf einen echten Steirer und beißt in meine Ferse. Ein leichter Stups auf seine Nase und der Kleine lässt los.
Um ein Haar wäre ich gefressen worden. Das war knapp!!

Wenn der Tiger stehen bleibt, bleib auch Du stehen.
Die Schultern des Tigers sind Deine Grenze.
2 einfache Regeln und los geht’s!
Ein Spaziergang mit den Halbwüchsigen Richtung Tiger Kindergarten.

Tiger dieser Größe sind schon sehr stark. Ein Halten ist fast nicht mehr möglich.
Das Tier das ich hatte zog enorm. Ich ließ ihn wollte nicht streng mit ihm sein.

Hier im Tiger Kindergarten war wieder Zeit zum Spielen.

Die Kleinen wollen nur spielen, raufen und herumtollen. Es macht großen Spaß dabei zu sein.

Sie sind wie alle Tier Babys.

Weiter geht es in die neue Arena wo wir aktiv am Unterhaltungsprogramm der halbwüchsigen Tiere
teilnehmen. Ein an einem Stock befestigter Plastiksack ist das Ziel der Tiger.
Obwohl wir mitten unter den Tieren sind ist deren einziges Interesse das Spiel und das Bad.
Ein beunruhigendes Gefühl kam zu keiner Zeit auf. Das machte es zu einem tollen Erlebnis

Weiter geht es zur Körperpflege. Einschäumen und spülen. Die Tiere genießen es. Wir auch.

Mit einem ausgewachsen Tier geht es dann Richtung Canyon. Unser Respekt ist groß. Angst haben wir keine. Der Tiger ist entspannt und ruhig Im Canyon gibt es einen kleinen Wasserfall und einen Tigerpool.

Aus einer Entfernung von ca. 2 Metern können wir die gossen Tiger bei ihrem Spiel beobachten.
Wir sind natürlich geschützt. Der Zaun ist an der Vorderseite 50 cm hoch. Ein Mitarbeiter des Tempels sitzt davor. Mit einem Stock.

Wir fühlen uns sicher. Die Tiger interessieren sich kaum für uns. Die wollen lieber spielen und rumtoben.

Zum Abschluss gab es noch ein kleines Shooting mit dem größten Tiger.
